Hayley Thomson

Senior Physiotherapist
Hayley is an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, completing her postgraduate
Master of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy degree. She has also completed her Master of
Medical Research at Griffith University, with her research focussing on the management of
people with persistent low back pain in a physiotherapy group program. She has published
her research in international peer reviewed journals and continues to be actively involved in
undertaking research relating to people with persistent pain and physiotherapy
management.
Hayley has extensive experience in the tertiary hospital setting, primarily working with
people with persistent pain conditions and complex low back and neck pain. She also has
experience working in a large interdisciplinary persistent pain service. Hayley’s main interest
lies in treating people with complex musculoskeletal pain disorders, including persistent low
back pain, neck pain and complex regional pain syndrome. Her primary focus is providing
the highest level of care for her clients, and to integrate contemporary research into clinical
practice. Using a client specific and holistic approach, she aims to empower and help people
achieve their specific individual goals.
