Sophie Medcalf

Sophie graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University, where she also completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science on an academic scholarship.

Her passion for physiotherapy grew from her own experience as a soccer player, with multiple injuries first introducing her to Physiologic as a patient. This perspective continues to shape her patient-centred approach and understanding of the recovery journey.

Sophie has a strong interest in sports and musculoskeletal rehabilitation and enjoys helping people return to the activities they love with confidence. She gained experience within elite sporting environments through her work with Brisbane Roar FC and Gold Coast United FC during her studies and now continues to work in football as the physiotherapist for the Gold Coast United women’s teams.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Sophie on a soccer field, at the beach, or out on a hike.
