Delina Rahmate

Clinical Nutritionist

With her background as a Registered Nurse, Teacher, Personal Trainer, elite athlete and Nutritionist, Delina is unique in that she has comprehensive knowledge of Health, Nutrition and Fitness. Her expertise in these areas allows her to combine all of this knowledge to develop specialised nutrition plans personalised to suit the individual.

Delina  consults for a range of clients with a variety of conditions, disorders and needs.Delina started her work career as a Registered Nurse eventually finding her real passion in preventative health. Delina sutdied her fitness qualifications and began working in the fitness industry in 1998. In 2002 she took up a teaching position with TAFE NSW as a fitness teacher where she worked full time until July 2013. Throughout this time Delina attained her graduate Diploma of Adult Education and Certificate IV Training and Assessment qualifications along with numerous fitness specific professional development courses such as BOSU, Swiss Ball, Les Mills, Sports Nutrition to name a few. Delina has always had a keen interest in holistic nutrition which led her to completing her Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine.

As a clinical nutritionist Delina approaches disease prevention and management through a multidimensional lens. With each client Delina assesses nutrition adequacy, absorption, current and past health status, food quality, dietary behaviours and lifestyle to develop individualised nutrition and lifestyle plans. The Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine degree is supported by a strong underpinning knowledge of biological and social sciences. Nutritional studies broaden the degree to include nutritional biochemistry, weight management, clinical nutrition, dietary planning, sports nutrition and clinical practice.

Delina is a successful elite ultra runner, multiple Ironman finisher and cyclist. She was third woman at the 2017 Buffalo Stampede 75km Trail Run, first woman home at the 2015 Alpine Challenge 100km Ultra Marathon and 2012 Three Peaks 235km cycling challenge along with many other podium finishes including  multiple Gold Coast Kokoda 96km Challenges.
