Mark Barrett

Physiotherapist - Practice Partner

Mark graduated from Sydney University in 1993 and is one of Physiologic’s practice partners. Since completing his studies, Mark has furthered his skills through extra study in a variety of specialised areas including metabolism, pain management, orthopedics, musculoskeletal and psychology.

Mark is passionate about health and fitness and is responsible for our metabolic testing. He uses cutting technology to measure metabolism and design programs enabling you to lose fat, retain muscle, increase energy levels and improve cardiovascular fitness. Mark enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. His other areas of special interest include:

  • Running injuries and performance, including assessment and modification of running technique
  • Management of general musculoskeletal injuries (especially knee, leg and spine issues)
  • Muscle Energy Technique for pelvic and sacroiliac joint related problems
  • Graded exercise programs for overall performance enhancement and improved core stability

Outside of Physiologic Mark is a keen marathon and 50km runner. He also enjoys cycling, surfing and taking on new challenges. With Therese Fossheim, Mark runs weekly running group sessions focusing on technique and intervals.
